2023 Scholarships
Applications Due April 23rd, 2022! 

The North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work (NCSCSW) offers awards to recognize Master’s level students and current practicing professionals who are committed to providing clinical social work services to people in underserved minority populations. The purpose of this program is to reduce behavioral health disparities and improve behavioral health-care outcomes for underserved populations by increasing the number of culturally competent master’s-level social work students and professionals serving these populations.

The Student Scholarship:

The Student Scholarship is awarded to students currently enrolled in accredited master of social work programs in the state of North Carolina who demonstrate a commitment to reducing behavioral health disparities and improving behavioral health-care outcomes for underserved populations through their scholarship, field placement, and/or extra-curricular efforts.

The Professional Scholarship:

The Professional Scholarship is awarded to clinical social workers (LCSW and LCSWA) currently in good standing and practicing in the state of North Carolina who demonstrate a commitment to reducing behavioral health disparities and improving behavioral health-care outcomes for underserved populations through their clinical work.

The Scholarships include:

  • A financial award in the amount of $200 
  • Full paid tuition for every training event offered by the NCSCSW “Specific Populations Speaker Series” for the next 12 months (May 1 2023 - April 30, 2024) 
  • One year paid membership in the NCSCSW
